As you guys should know, I am a heavy spender. Not the healthiest hobby, but for sure a hobby nonetheless. But, with all the things I have bought over the years, these are the top 10 things I have bought, which I now consider to be my essentials. 

1. My core 4 lip balms

As someone with hEDS (hypermobile ehlers-danlos syndrome) my lips DO NOT hold in moisture at all, nor do they make their own moisture; which leads my lips to turn into the literal sahara desert if I don’t have a good lip balm on for more than 5 minutes. My core 4, (which I recommend to EVERYONE) are; Olehenriksen Pout Preserve Peptide Lip Treatment (strawberry sorbet scent), Rhode Peptide Lip Treatment (watermelon slice or unscented) Lanolips 101 ointment, and Aquaphor Healing Ointment. Ole’s PPPLT is great for long lasting everyday hydration that is non-sticky, thickkk, and provides a slight shine. Rhode’s PLT is great for flavored + scented shine and a good topper over lanolips or aquaphor. Lanolips and Aquaphor are great for everyday hydration, harsh winters, a base, exfoliating, literally everything.

2. Soundcore Space A40 ANC earbuds

As an avid music listener with sensory issues who also needs stimulation constantly, these earbuds are my holy grail for music listeners, people with autism/ADHD, or anyone who needs a good pair of bluetooth earbuds. They sound great, they’re built well, and they are relatively affordable. 

3. Owala 40oz Handle Tumbler

I was someone who tended to drink, basically no water, maybe 4 cups a day at most. Now, I am drinking about a gallon a day; all thanks to this Owala tumbler. It is stylish, it keeps my drinks cold, it is leak-resistant, and it is carbonation proof, which is perfect, because I drink SO MUCH poppi/olipop soda all the time. Which leads me into my next essential.

4. Olipop/Poppi prebiotic sodas

I live in an organic, clean ingredients, natural, pure ingredients household. My mother, after surviving thyroid cancer, has cut down on all toxic ingredients and we take it very seriously. Both Poppi and Olipop Prebiotic Sodas really helps with that; when I need a little sweet, fizzy treat for myself without exposing myself to harmful ingredients such as artificial dyes, flavours etc. My favorite Poppi  flavors are Raspberry Rose, Wild Berry, and Watermelon. And my favorite OLIPOP flavors are Tropical Punch, Grape, and Watermelon Lime.

5. CABTREO (prescription topical medication to treat Acne Vulgaris)

As someone who suffers from combination skin and acne vulgaris, I have used them all. Retinols, Adaplenes, Tretinoins, Tazarotene, BHAs and AHAs, and so many more. But none of them worked like CABTREO (Adaplene, Clindamycin Phosphate, Benzoyl Peroxide), which cleared up my skin and got rid of my bad hormonal acne in 6 months!! This prescription is genuinely my holy grail, I don’t know what I would do without it, and if you have BAD acne that nothing seems to fix, ask your doctor about this. I swear on my firstborn child, this will change your life. 

6. Bearaby 20 Pound Knit Weighted Blanket

I am a night owl, and a morning person. So it is safe to day, unless I am incredibly tired after a big show or just got back from a vacation and I am actively falling asleep at baggage claim carousel 4 at ORD, I do not like to sleep. Until, I bought this absolute gem. This weighted blanket (though impossible to move to clean) feels like being wrapped in a gigantic pressure-filled hug. After I am under this blanket, there is no getting out for me. I literally fall asleep in four minutes, and adding onto my other 4 blankets, cooling comforter and my 40 million stuffed animals, my bed is literally heaven. 

7. In-Ear Monitors 

Imagine this, you’re in a soundcheck, the room is 120dB+, you cannot hear your own voice over the wedges, and suddenly you remember, in your bag, you have a pair of in-ear monitors; best feeling. These have saved me so many more times than I can count when the bass shakes the floor, the drums vibrate your teeth, and your show-off guitarist will not turn down his volume. I have many favorites, but nothing beats my custom shelled Tangzu Wan’er SG2’s with the best sound, best fit, and cutest design. Maybe I’ll upgrade to some UE or 64 Audio CIEMs, but until then, my amazon IEMs with my cheap system are my #1 essential for a big show. 

8. Werhy H3 Electric Scooter

hEDS, while very annoying, is also very prevalent in my everyday life. Specifically, in hanging out with friends. Riding a bike for me for any more than 5 minutes without a break instantly means joint pain, flare ups, sublexes, and bad muscle spasms; my solution to this? A seated electric scooter. Mine goes up to 20mph, and 15 miles range, and is perfect for getting around, going to the gym, running errands and going to hang out with friends. This scooter has saved me so many times I can’t even explain, I love it so much and it is very much worth the $400.

9. Ritual Zero Proof Spirits

I love mocktails so, so, so, so much. I love making them, creating new flavors, trying new recipes, and getting to feel like I’m not missing out on the party just because I’m underage. This is where Ritual Zero Proof Spirits come in! My favorites are the Gin, Rum and Tequila alternatives. The Apertif and Whiskey alternatives are… fine. But they aren’t anything to write home about. My favorite things to make with each are a gin + soda (perfect with an Olipop) an Italian Marg, or a Watermelon/Regular Mojito (my absolute favorite!!) They taste so good, are priced reasonably and aren’t chock-full with toxic ingredients. I get to be a charli xcx without being an Amy Winehouse! (iykyk, nothing against amy but… yk. RIP Amy, you were a gift to music lost too soon. You deserved the whole world. 1984-2011) 

10. M1 Macbook Pro (2021 14”, 1TB storage 32gb RAM) 

Need I say more? My macbook is literally perfect for everything. Producing music, scrolling, editing music videos, managing posts, ordering more essentials… everything. I love mine so much, best purchase I ever made. It’s super fast, screen is amazing, feels great, quick charging and long lasting battery, amazing features, need I go on?
